The evaluation process
- Complete a short intake form about your daily life and your pet.
- Meet with a licensed mental health professional in your state.
- If you qualify, receive your signed ESA letter within 24–48 hours.
What can disqualify an application
Evaluators decline applications when there is no diagnosable condition, or when the animal in question would not reasonably help manage that condition. A licensed clinician makes that call — not an algorithm.
